Kids' Privacy Notice
How Tutro protects children under 13 — our COPPA commitments.
We built Tutro for families. Kids under 13 never sign up for Tutro on their own. A parent creates a Tutro account, and then creates a separate learner profile for each child. This notice explains exactly what that means.
What we collect from a child
- A first name (or a nickname chosen by the parent).
- Grade level and subjects they’re learning.
- The lessons they generate, watch, and the quiz answers they give.
- Progress data: XP, streaks, badges, time on task.
We do notcollect a child’s last name, address, phone number, or photo of their face. Uploaded study-material photos are processed to generate the lesson and then stored only in the parent’s account.
How we use it
Strictly to run Tutro for that child: generate the lesson, check their answers, adapt the next lesson, and show progress to the parent. We never use a child’s data to train third-party models, never sell it, and never serve ads.
Parental controls
- You can see every lesson your child has generated.
- You can delete any lesson, or the entire child profile, at any time.
- You can export everything we know about your child at any time.
- You can turn off community sharing for a child profile.
- Community content shown to kid profiles is filtered with a kid-safe filter.
Your consent
By creating a learner profile for a child under 13, you are providing verifiable parental consent under COPPA for Tutro to collect the data above from that child’s learning sessions.
